How do I get started?
Complete our Interest Form on the website.
Thrive will contact you for a conversation to understand your child’s needs.
How does the matching process work?
After your intake conversation, our team vets and recommends tutors based on your child’s needs, goals, and family priorities. You receive the educator’s bio, pricing, and availability before confirming. The educator then reaches out to schedule the first session.
Of note, we require a deposit to get the process started. This deposit is FULLY applied to your future tutoring sessions, but it saves your spot with us and honors our behind-the-scenes time for recruiting, vetting, and matching your child with the perfect tutor.
How do tutoring payments work?
For hourly tutoring, we use a centralized system (TutorCruncher). You add payment information before the first session. After each session, educators submit their time and notes, and payments are processed automatically.
Can I pay my tutor directly?
No. All payments are processed through Thrive so we can handle payroll, taxes, and ensure continuity of service.
What is Thrive’s cancellation policy?
We ask for as much notice as possible.
Cancellations with < 24 hours’ notice are charged in full.
For illness, we consider school closures and sickness, but cancellations with < 3 hours’ notice may still be charged.
